OUR MENU MASTERS BUSINESS
In November 2003, UAC of Nigeria Plc, already a major player in the Quick Service Restaurant (QSR), Food & Beverage Business, acquired Franchises for food and service brands from Innscor International in a Strategic Tripartite Alliance with Mobil Oil Nigeria Plc (MON).
The “On the Run” brand was created by Mobil Corporation in the USA in 1994 as its flagship ‘store' offering, in what is known as the Back Court , that is, the outlet behind the fuelling area. The fuelling area itself is the Fore Court.
Based in Zimbabwe, Innscor International owns, operates and sells franchises for International premises-based Quick Service Restaurants like Chicken Inn, Pizza Inn, Creamy Inn to mention a few.
Currently, Innscor's brands are being operated in a number of African Countries including Ghana, Ivory Coast, Kenya, Senegal and Mozambique.
The brand has really lived up to its name, literally becoming a brand ‘On The Run'! The Tripartite Alliance now extends this exciting offering to the teeming consumers in the Nigerian fast foods market.
The Success stories from these countries, MON's focus on 'serving customers in many more ways than just fuel', and UACN's pedigree in QSR business led to acquisition of the Franchises.
Also acquired are Franchises for Nando's, from Nando's International, South Africa and Steers (to be operated on Mobil Fuel sites only) from Steers Holdings.
To achieve this focus; Menu Masters, (a Division of UACN Plc) has been established to manage the operation of these brands in the Nigerian Quick Service Restaurant terrain (on behalf of the Tripartite Alliance).
The Brands are to be operated as "Food Courts" (i.e. One Restaurant will offer two to four brands).The brands are: Luv Dat Chicken, Must be that Pizza, Nando's, Steers, Mr Bigg's, Creamy Inn.
There are also Service Brands like: Inn-the Jungle and Dial-a-Delivery.
When located on Mobil Service Stations, the Food Court will be known as "On The Run". Each "On The Run" will be different, as it will feature any combination (between two to four) of the exciting brands listed above.
There will be Food Courts located on non-fuel sites as well and brands like Nando's will operate sometimes as stand alones.
‘On The Run' aims to give a different experience. It is primarily a friendly and welcoming place for the individual, groups and family. One can easily eat-in or take-away. Eating-in is comfortable, in the air-conditioned, fresh interior that UACN traditionally offers. Alternatively, one could eat out under the covered terrace that is clean, spacious and welcoming. ‘On The Run' offers great choices; there is always something that everybody can enjoy.
