Buoyed by the success of the Consolidated Management Consultants Limited (CMCL) Open Golf Championship over the years, the tournament, which enters its 11 th edition this year, has attracted corporate outfits, which have thrown their weight behind the 2009 edition.
They are Dana Air, C & I Motors Limited Dulux Paints and Bolingo Hotel and Towers.
Speaking at the pre-tournament media briefing, the Marketing Communication Manager of Dulux Paints, Miss Kemi Oroniran, said though they are not fully into golf sponsorship, their coming indicates they are ready to contribute to the success of the game, adding that they would do more in the future.
Also speaking, Tony Usidame of Dana Group said the company is ready to contribute to the social development of the areas it operates, while Sylva Obasemhe of C&I Motors insisted that his company's backing of the sport was a reflection of its corporate responsibility. “It's just a reflection of our support to our environment and we are ready to do more,” he said.
