UAC Foods, a division of UAC of Nigeria Plc, has reiterated its commitment never to compromise the quality of its various brands, a policy that has sustained the company as market leader.

In a statement by Mr Chris Adedipe, the Divisional Managing Director of UAC Foods, the company dismissed an internet-based campaign by a network of Islamic groups which claimed that a Gala vehicle reported loaded pigs from a piggery in Idimu area of Lagos State.
Adedipe said the story is completely unfounded and urged customers of UAC Foods not to be worried about it as it is a mere smear campaign.

Adedipe said: “In compliance with standard manufacturing practice, all ingredients used in our products are listed on the product packs for consumer information. Neither Gala Sausage Roll nor any of our products contains pork as an ingredient. As responsible men and women in the Islamic faith, it is our expectation that information such as the one in the mail network be investigated and verified before circulation as failure to do so could lead to character vilification with attendant consequences.”
Adedipe assured that the company is open to any enquiry or visit to its factory by representatives of the coalition of the Islamic groups.
