What is good about life? by Patrick A. Ubiri
A bit complex question, right? But I will rather take it from a lighter mood. Taking it from that angle, the following could be what is good about:
- Falling in love.
- Laughing so hard your face hurts, to ease stress.
- A hot shower during cold weather.
- Taking a drive on a pretty road.
- Hearing your favorite song on the radio.
- Lying in bed listening to the rain outside.
- Finding what you want is on sale for half price.
- Going to the beach with your loved ones.
- Laughing at yourself. Laughing for absolutely no reason at all.
- Having someone tell you that you're beautiful.
- Laughing at an inside joke. Friends.
- Accidentally overhearing someone say something nice about you.
- Your first kiss.
- Making new friends or spending time with old ones.
- Late night talks with your spouse that keep you from sleeping.
- Having someone play with your hair.
- Watching a good movie cuddled up on a couch with someone you love.
- Seeing smiles and hearing laughter from your friends.
- Holding hands with someone you care about.
- Running into an old friend and realizing that some things (good or bad) never change.
- Discovering that love is unconditional and stronger than time.
- Hugging the person you love.
- Watching the expression of someone's face as they open a much-desired present from you.
- Watching the sunrise.
- Getting out of bed every morning and thanking God for another beautiful day.
- Having friends you know you can cry on or talk to about your deepest problems.
But most importantly, Life is Good because we have LIFE itself. Let's preserve it with good and clean environment, good nutrition, good shelter, and a secured source of income. |

MAKE THIS DAY COUNT by Ifedayo Oshin
I like to make each day count
Live fully complete human adult
Each day specializing in people or things
Building unforgettable glorious memories
For it is in my hands to fulfil
As the Almighty graciously granted
With every day miracle of another day
We all should make each day count
We all with all our parts intact
All that rises like the sun, by dawn
And Lay like birds, when moon shines
We all that can hear the chirps of the birds
And the annoying cacophony of Lagos traffic orchestra
We all that can still behold
The wriggling romantic dance of the wind and plants
We all that have little or so much bread
With light and heavy desire
We all whose limbs are not yet numb
That can still hop and jump
We all that have all it takes
To make each and every day
Paradise bliss for all
We all me, you
Let's make this day count
For us for him, for her for our world
For so we have been granted
To live anew each day in harmony with all created |
