THIS IS GOOD by Dennis Timothy Onifade
Finally, your teasing serial adverts that I have been responding to over the past two weeks have now surprised me with a dazzling revelation: a brand new UAC identity!
I didnt know that was what was coming on the way. Without playing to the gallery, the new brand identity is refreshingly different, contemporary, dynamic, youthful and even futuristic. It is a symbol of renewal and repositioning for global competitiveness. It is a friendly, warm face with a fascinating visual appeal that connects with human emotions.
It is a new UAC that now has a more human personality than is hitherto percieved. Of course, UAC as a conglomerate has been giving Nigeria quality brands for many years, bringing good things to people's lives. But its master corporate image had never been this expressive of 'doing good'. Now, it is good to see UAC as a personable friend that will continue to do good to Nigeria and Nigerians through good products. The new UAC brand identity is very good!
LIFE IS GOOD by Monica O. Agene
What is good? Life is good! Yes, if only you can add value to the lives of others. Life can only be good, if the many hungry children we see around the world are fed fat with good food and emotional 'spiced up' with abundant love.
What is good? A peaceful life without greed, corruption, wickedness and unfaithfulness. Where greed fathers corruption; corruption begets wickedness and unfaithfulness its grandchildren. Where these 'lives' are non-existent and harmony reigns supreme.
What is good? A life where the rich teach their children that climbing the ladder of success is not a guarantee that you will remain up there without hardwork. Teaching their children that the poor are also human and the wind of change can easily blow their way if hardwork is not stitched to their thin fabric of life.
Life is good when a child's cry of pain melts away ice to open up the floodgates of generosity and love. When a child spruts up like a rose flower in security, walking with a gentle gait along th epath of 'aged' guidance and under the floodlights of grey haired instructions. Life is definitely good when a child is weaned with the milk of human kindness and inscribed on its heart is the philosophy of "all fingers are equal".
What is good can be better if we try hard to give our best without dwelling on the reward.

What's good about life is the fact that you don't have to remain in any particular unpalatable situation which life may dish up; one can decide to turn around one's fortune with strenghts and virtues like hardwork, faith, hope, determination, optimism and a certain amount of bullheadedness!

Hi there, my idea of whats good stems from the fuctionalist point of view. I am of the opinion that an wholistic approach to issues is of paramount importance in a nation that has seen neglect from inept, selfish and inhuman leaders who are after their personal upliftment forgetting the old 'one for all and all for one'. I love my country a lot and I sometimes feel so sad, hurt at the state of issues spanning virtualy all the sectors of the economy. Do I begin to write on the state of our roads that are death traps and have claimed lives of worthy and noble persons or i do begin to narrate what commuters face struggling for smelly dillapidated buses popularly known as Danfos thereby having to put up with the stench from the bodies of conductors who have no one to checkmate their excesses or do i stretch to the trepidation of armed bandits who roam the streets and maim and kill innocent Nigerians or the selfish and aggrieved so called Niger Delta militants militants who are products of neglect by their predecessors or the activities of the Area urchins spread all over Lagos state. What is good is what fuctions and affects lives poitively, i guess my opinion of what is good is what functions. Mon 13/08/2007 My Thoughts by Oluwafemi John
What is good about life when there so much killing everyday from Iraq to Afganistan, from Sudan to Sierra leone?
What is good about life when haif of the World population lives below one Dollar a day?
What is good about life when there is corruption in every nook and crany of the world?
What is good about life when instead of leaders what we have are VULTURES?
What is good about life when Shelter is a scarce commodity in the World?
What is good about life when the rich are getting richer while the poor are What's Good about Life? by Mr Silvanus Oshiomogho
Life is a gift from our creator, no wonder it is treasured, valued by those who have it. Without it, we are nothing. Just as the saying goes"a living dog is better than a dead lion". However, the good thing about life is the "Will" it is the most interesting and facinating aspests of life. Why do you think we all do what we do? Our freedom to choose you would say, it makes us feel on top of the world. Our everyday actions, decisions are the products of our will and this reflected in all aspects of our lives. The quality of our decisions determines the quality of our lives. "Man is condemned to be free"and a refusal to choose is a choice already made. The "Will" is manifest in our choice of food, house, career, spouses, etc. Various arguments are employed by advertizers in the media all in a desperate bid to influence our decisions on a particular item or products. For example, a little boy may show his preference in particular noodle to another because of the idea of becoming a super hero while rejecting another which does not offer such a prospect to him. Likewise we might decide to erect a bungalow rather than a duplex as it pleases us. Finally, the beauty of life lies in our ability to chose and without that, life becomes mechanical and dead. All that we see today in our world i.e good or bad are the results or concequences of our past actions. Though we are free, we must realize that that our freedom goes with some responsibility and also their consequences for the choices that we make. What's Good about Life? by Bawa Sikiru
In reference to the news news paper of 3rd of agust 2007, I hereby whish to express my own opinion concernig the phrase; whats good about life. Basically if one looks at this life critically, it will seems as if many things are good. However in the contrary its not so to my own view. What I consider good about life include the good things you have done to others by putting lauthgter to their faces, the assistance you render to your fellow human beings, how passionate you are, the love of people you have in you heart and many other good you may think of. To me these doesn't include the amount of weath you have, how popular you are in society, all these and others can not be raterd under whats good about life. The most wealthy and highly influencial and highly ranked today may be the most downgraded and the most wretched fellow tomorrow if he fail in droping some goods to his fellow human being when he was accending the lather of succes. In nut shell, any worldly acquire things in this life can not be categorise under good things about life, they are just worldly materials which can turn sour tomorrow. So whats good about it?. Moreso, the adage which says what you sow is what you will reap, if you do good you will have the courage to say the life is good, but if otherwise you will see this life as vanity in regret. . |
