OTHER GOOD DEEDS by Adebowale Ifedolokpo (Miss) I was in the lift one day with two ladies and a man. The man looked far-off (troubled). He hissed, frowned, fidgeted with his fingers and stare endlessly into nothingness. I took time to look at him. He must be a terrific dresser. Lovely shirt (navy blue), good quality tie, well ironed trouser and a good shoe to match. His fragrance too must have being 212 for Men, which coincidentally I love to perceive whenever a man passes.
But the problem was that he looked lost. The first lady got down on the 4th floor. The second - 6th floor. I was going to the 9th floor and the man to the 10th floor. I looked at him and said; " Nice Tie. Must be expensive ". For the first time, he smiled. He replied, " Thanks. No. It's not expensive . A birthday present from my wife, though she would not tell me the price”. Then he smiled again.
I got down on the 9th floor and wished him a good day. he waved and smiled again wishing me the same. at least, i brought out a smile from a troubled heart.
A SMILE FROM SOMEONE'S FACE IS ANOTHER WAY OF DOING GOOD. GREET PEOPLE YOU MEET ON THE WAY. IN YOUR WORKING PLACE , PASS ONE OR TWO GOOD COMMENTS ABOUT PEOPLE. THIS WILL CREATE A GOOD AND LASTING IMPRESSION ABOUT YOU.

FAILURE IS GOOD by Rebecca Haruna To have seen and lived through all of life.
What would you have seen? Humanity at its finest, and humanity at its ugliest; a deluded humanity that neither knows where it is coming from nor where it is heading; animals in human skin, and sadism exploited to its full; Kings and slaves, the over-fed and the humble living side by side, and craving for one thing - survival;
What life would you have lived? As one picking crumbs falling from the masters table, and watching laughter turn to anger when people look in your direction. As one who, through struggle, wears the crown of success, watching anger turn to laughter when people look in your direction. As a loser, whose material wellbeing is thoroughly weakened, or eroded, but who is spiritually rich enough to appreciate that, life would end up, for you and me, like a dream. That is what's good about life.
